Import - Duplicate Trip Resolution

If a trip record being imported has the same location, date and time as a trip which is already on the database it is deemed to be a duplicate.  In this case you can modify the existing database to incorporate notes, weather details and observers from the import record or you can just ignore the import record.

The duplicate form shows the notes, weather and observers from the existing database record and from the import record.

If you wish to amend the notes and weather details you can do so in the Weather and Notes fields of the Existing Record section.

The observers from the import record can automatically be added to the existing trip record by clicking the Add Import Observers to Trip button.

Observers can be amended manually by clicking the Observers link button.

To update the existing trip record with changes click on the Update Existing Trip button.

To ignore the import record click the Skip this record button.
